NHSN HAI Rebaseline

“Rebaseline” is a term that CDC’s National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) staff is using to describe the process of updating the national healthcare-associated infection (HAI) baselines and risk adjustment models.

Each HAI Rebaseline process results in the creation of updated calculations and risk adjustment models to be used for the standardized infection ratio (SIR) and standardized utilization ratio (SUR) denominators.
