Table-Style Module

Building in the WCMS

The table-style module is a reusable content element available from the WCMS content browser.  Because it is a reusable content type, you can embed a table-style module in Visual Composer or the WYSIWYG editor.  Follow these instructions to create a table-style module:

  1. From the WCMS content browser, select the folder for the new module.
  2. Click “New Content” and select “Table Style Module” when prompted for the content type.
  3. Enter a module title (required).
  4. Select Display Options.  Tips:  Note that your module can have row headers or column headers, not both.   If your table has row headers, include the row header column when selecting the number of columns.  For example, if you have row headers and three content columns, you should select 4 as the number of columns.
  5. In the Content panel, enter the content for the first row.  If the module has column headers, this row should contain the headers for all columns.  If the module has row headers, enter the header for the first row as the Column 1 content.
  6. To add each row, click “Add Another Row.”  (To remove a row, click “Remove Row.”)
  7. Save and preview.

For guidelines on when to use a standard data table and when to use a table-style module, see Table-Style Module: Best Practices.

Each table-style module can have row headers, column headers, or no headers.  You cannot combine row and column headers.

The table-style module supports up to 4 columns (including row headers).
