Saving Lives at Home by Ending TB Abroad

A new study from CDC and several leading U.S. universities has found that strengthening TB control efforts in high burden countries abroad can lead to health and economic benefits here at home. The modeling study which was led by researchers from CDC and Harvard, Stanford and Yale universities, found that investing in global TB control efforts could not only save thousands of lives in the United States, but billions of dollars in healthcare and related costs.
