Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs)
The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services Office of HIV/AIDS and Infectious Disease Policy (OHAIDP) will host two virtual listening sessions to gather public input to inform the development of a Sexually Transmitted Infections Federal Action Plan. Sessions are April 17 and May 9, 2019, and registration is required.
There are dozens of STDs. Some STDs, such as syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, are spread mainly by sexual contact. Other diseases, including Zika and Ebola, can be spread sexually but are more often spread through ways other than sex.
