Request for International Influenza Molecular Diagnostic Performance Evaluation Panel
CDC’s Influenza Division is offering a CDC Influenza Molecular Diagnostic Performance evaluation Panel to bi-lateral cooperative agreement countries during the Fall of 2014. This panel consists of nine mock human specimens requiring identification of types A and B, and characterization of subtype and/or genotype to evaluate the performance of the CDC Human Influenza Virus Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel kits for Influenza A/B typing (RUO-1) Influenza A subtyping (RUO-2), Influenza B Lineage Genotyping (RUO-4), Influenza A/H7 (Eurasian Lineage) subtyping (FluEUA-01) and Influenza A/H5 subtyping (RUO03-3). The purpose of this exercise is to assist CDC and its grantees in understanding the performance of the CDC Flu rRT-PCR Panel reagents internationally, and to identify any PCR testing issues that can be addressed in future trainings and workshops. Although participation in this exercise is encouraged, it is strictly voluntary.
Grantees are encouraged to participate and should submit the enrollment information by August 18, 2014.
