Call for Papers

PCD Welcomes Papers Addressing Persistent Public Health Challenges

Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) is inviting manuscripts addressing persistent public health challenges. Authors are encouraged to look at the areas of interest listed below and submit manuscripts at any time. Manuscripts submitted on these topics will be given the journal’s immediate attention. The manuscripts can be of any article type used by the journal.

Manuscripts must follow the instructions for PCD’s article types. Additional information about submitting manuscripts is in the Author’s Corner on PCD’s website. Corresponding authors may want to submit an inquiry to the journal in advance of submitting a manuscript to determine the suitability of the manuscript for PCD.

  5. Geospatial Perspectives on the Intersection of Chronic Disease, Risk Factors, and Health Outcomes (Due May 1, 2026)
  6. Community Engagement and Population Health From Practice to Evaluation (Due May 18, 2026)
  7. Advancing Chronic Disease Data Modernization Enhancements (Due May 25, 2026)
  8. Improving Rural Health: Solutions for Persistent Rural Public Health Challenges (Due June 15, 2026)
