Call for Papers: Family-Centered Approaches to Improve Family Health

Preventing Chronic Disease (PCD) invites researchers, evaluators, and practitioners to submit manuscripts for an upcoming collection entitled Family-Centered Approaches to Improve Family Health. This call for papers seeks innovative, evidence-based, and practice-oriented contributions that examine the role of families in promoting health, preventing chronic conditions, and supporting overall wellness across diverse populations and geographic settings.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Family-based interventions for chronic disease prevention and management
• The impact of family dynamics and relationships on physical and mental health
• Strategies to engage families in community health initiatives
• Culturally responsive approaches to family health and wellness
• Family-centered care models in healthcare settings
• Innovations in telehealth and digital health tools for family wellness
• Policy analyses related to family health and well-being

Submission Guidelines

Manuscripts should be submitted to PCD on or before January 15, 2027. Submitted manuscripts will be reviewed and, if accepted, published on a rolling basis. Once all accepted manuscripts have been published, they will be compiled into a PDF collection accessible on the PCD website. Manuscripts must adhere to PCD’s Types of Articles instructions and will undergo the journal’s standard review processes.
