LCWK7 shows the 15 leading causes of infant, neonatal, and postneonatal death by race (all races, white, black, American Indian, and Asian or Pacific Islander), and sex. The methodology for ranking causes is available in Deaths: Leading causes Cdc-pdf[PDF 4 MB]. Starting in data year 2015, this worktable is supplemental and will be gradually phased out. It is being replaced by a worktable showing the leading causes of death by combined race and Hispanic origin available from LCWK4_HR.
