Worktable 25 lists the number of deaths and death rates per 100,000 population for Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection and detailed subcategories. Deaths and death rates are tabulated by calendar year, 10-year age group, race, and sex. HIV infection is a rankable cause but is not included in the NCHS standard short tabulation lists for mortality (the 72 cause list and the 282 cause list).
