Responding to COVID-19 Through Strengthened Public Health Systems
CDC investments in global health security around the world have laid the foundation for countries to rapidly and effectively prepare for emerging infectious disease threats, including the current coronavirus outbreak. While we recognize there is still a lot of work to do, our collaborations with other nations, international organizations, and nongovernmental stakeholders, including the private sector, have ensured that many countries are much better prepared today to prevent, detect, and respond to outbreaks, including COVID-19, than they were several years ago.
