Passing of Advisory Board’s Chair, James Melius, M.D., Dr.P.H.. Dr. Melius

On behalf of the Advisory Board on Radiation and Worker Health, and the NIOSH Division of Compensation Analysis and Support, I wish to convey our sadness at the passing of the Advisory Board’s Chair, James Melius, M.D., Dr.P.H.. Dr. Melius died at his home over the New Year’s holiday weekend. Dr. Melius’ contribution to the welfare of all workers was beyond measure, as was his dedicated service on the Advisory Board since its inception in 2001. Arrangements are pending and will be posted on the Advisory Board’s website as soon as they are available.
