Call for Papers | Public Health and Pharmacy: Collaborative Approaches to Improve Population Health

PCD is seeking manuscripts describing innovative and effective work to link public health and pharmacy in ways that improve population health. Example topics include

  • Pharmacy practice models examining the intersection of nutrition and pharmacy in patient care.
  • Training approaches on how to educate pharmacy students on effective ways to integrate nutrition therapy, education, and counseling into patient care.
  • Identification of ways health care and public health data can guide the integration of clinical and public health approaches to address high cholesterol and blood pressure, physical inactivity, diets low in fruits and vegetables, and diets high in sodium and saturated fats.
  • Identification and execution of care coordination models and resources in health care or community settings that support patients’ ability to optimally manage chronic conditions.
