
Call for Papers | Geospatial Perspectives on the Intersection of Chronic Disease, Risk Factors, and Health Outcomes

PCD welcomes submissions that highlight the ways in which geographic information systems (GIS), spatial analysis, and other geospatial techniques and technologies are applied to research and public health practice, addressing clinical and public health approaches to prevent and control chronic disease. Topics of interest include
- Maps describing the relationship between physical activity, obesity, and exposure to screen time among children and adolescents.
- Maps describing links between dietary habits and the consumption of ultraprocessed foods among children, adolescents, and adults.
- Maps illustrating geographic variations in chronic disease and health outcomes or associated risk factors.
- Maps describing available community and neighborhood resources to address mental health.
- Use of GIS by local and state health departments in response to chronic disease in rural and urban settings.
