An increase in the rates of reported cases of hepatitis A occurred from 2016–2019 among both males and females. The rates declined in 2020 and again in 2021. During 2021, the rate of reported hepatitis A virus infection was 2.2 cases per 100,000 population for males and 1.3 cases per 100,000 population among females.
