Assessment of a Community-Based Exercise Program for Older Adults in a Mixed Rural/Urban Catchment Area: Silver Sneakers in Central Pennsylvania

Among the counties in the Penn State Cancer Institute catchment area, there were 16 Silver Sneakers locations in Dauphin County, 16 in Berks County, 14 in Lancaster County, and 18 in York County. These urban counties encompass or border larger metropolitan areas, such as Harrisburg (which is more centrally located in the state), Philadelphia (on the southeastern border of the state), or Baltimore, Maryland (just south of the Pennsylvania border).
