Impact of Multiple Chronic Conditions on Activity Limitations Among Older Mexican-American Care Recipients

The number of study participants (N = 3,050) at the baseline wave in 1993–1994 decreased to 1,078 in the 2010–2011 wave of the study. Participants were excluded if they needed no assistance with personal care or household tasks (n = 329), for whom no cognitive information was available (n = 57), or if they were missing information on sociodemographic and chronic conditions, leaving a final sample of 485 matched caregivers and care recipients.
