Using Diverse Communication Strategies to Re-Engage Relapsed Tobacco Quitline Users in Treatment, New York State, 2014

The intervention to encourage past quitline registry participants to recycle into services had 3 phases. The first consisted of 6 attempts to contact the relapsed smoker by Interactive Voice Response (IVR). The second phase attempted contact by postcard, email, and 2 Short Messaging Services (SMS) texts. The final phase was another cycle of 6 IVR attempts.
