Heart Disease Hospitalization Rates, Total Population Ages 65+

Heart Disease Hospitalization Rates for 2015 through 2017 for Adults Aged 65 Years and Older by County. The map shows that concentrations of counties with the highest heart disease hospitalization rates - meaning the top quintile - are located primarily in Michigan, Louisiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Tennessee.  Pockets of high-rate counties also were found in Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma, and Texas.
