Dear Recipient,

Congratulations on your award! Welcome to an elite team that is working with CDC to improve public health worldwide. Please read the information included in this Welcome Packet closely. It includes important instructions, guidelines, and key requirements that are critical to the success of your grant or cooperative agreement award (“award“).

This Welcome Packet is divided into the actions you, the grant recipient, would take upon receiving your award. Each section will contain bolded and underlined links that you can use to get additional information . Please click on each section below as you read through the Welcome Packet.

Understanding your Notice of Award (NoA)

Notice of Award and Administrative Regulations

Provides a congratulations and an introduction to new grantees to help them understand their Notice of Award (NOA), and key things to know up front when receiving an award.

Understanding Payment

Provides resources to help the grantee understand how to draw down funds through PMS, how to handle accounting records, rate negotiations, patient care cost rates, etc.

Understanding Your Policy Requirements

Provides general and specific regulations per the CFR and HHS Grants Policy Statement.

Understanding Your Reporting / Audit Requirements

Provides guidance and resources to help the grantee understand how to prepare and submit progress reports, Federal Financial Reports, and audits.

Changes to Your Grant

Provides guidance and policies relating to the grantee requesting (if applicable) and making changes to their grant (i.e. personnel changes, accounting changes, operating geography changes, etc.)

Understanding Closeout

Provides guidance and policies relating to closing out the grant and responding to audit requests.
