The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Respirator Approval Program oversees and conducts several tests that require human participants. Due to temporary interruptions in compensating human test participants, approval holders and applicants may experience delays in application processing time when applications require tests involving human participants.
NIOSH is working on a permanent solution to compensating participants and will inform applicants and approval holders when testing capabilities return to conventional operations.
