Dual Presentations: Vaccine Confidence and the Cobb/Douglas Vaccination Experience

May 5, 2021, 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM (ET)
Remote Participation Only

Join May’s Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds for two presentations: vaccine confidence and the COVID-19 vaccine roll out in a local public health district in Georgia.

The presentation on vaccine confidence will describe the concept of vaccine confidence as it pertains to COVID-19 vaccinations in the United States. The discussion topics will include

  • Key factors impacting confidence
  • Findings from national surveys illustrating the state of vaccine confidence among healthcare personnel after COVID-19 vaccine authorizations
  •  Strategies for increasing vaccine confidence and uptake

The second presentation will discuss how local public health departments across the United States have worked tirelessly throughout the COVID-19 pandemic to mitigate community transmission of SARS-CoV-2, including leading COVID-19 vaccination campaigns to protect the populations they serve. Key partnerships and resources have been critical to the success of these mass vaccination efforts. Dr. Jackson will share a local public health district’s experience with the COVID-19 vaccine roll out. He will discuss

  • Key resources needed for mass vaccination operations
  • Successes
  • Challenges encountered
