Dual Lectures: Food Systems Policy & Improving Valley Fever Diagnosis
Public Health Grand Rounds will continue to share important new content while our monthly sessions are on hold. This month we spotlight Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds and COVID-19 Science Update.
Join June’s Preventive Medicine Grand Rounds for two presentations: A look into the food systems policy and the development of a pulmonary Coccidioidomycosis (Valley fever) diagnostic algorithm for primary care providers in the United States.
The food safety presentation will highlight the role of policy within food safety and explain CDC’s role in preventing foodborne outbreaks.
The second presentation will discuss the problem of coccidioidomycosis under-diagnosis and CDC’s Mycotic Diseases Branch’s development of a pulmonary coccidioidomycosis diagnostic algorithm for primary care providers in the United States.
