Notice to Readers: Discontinuation of Routine Distribution of Printed Copies of MMWR Serial Publications
Effective immediately, readers who receive MMWR at no cost directly from CDC will no longer routinely receive print copies of MMWR serial publications (i.e., Recommendations and Reports, Surveillance Summaries, Supplements, and Summaries of Notifiable Diseases) in the mail. The costs of printing each of these publications have been paid by the CDC program that contributed it. Effective immediately, programs may elect to not publish paper copies of the serial publications they contribute. Therefore, MMWR subscribers who currently receive print copies at no cost from CDC will no longer receive print copies of serial publications unless a CDC program chooses to pay for the print distribution of its publication.
All MMWR publications are available at no cost online at http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr. Readers desiring to have MMWR publications e-mailed to them automatically can subscribe online at http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/mmwrsubscribe.html. Print copies of MMWR weekly and serial publications are available by subscription from Massachusetts Medical Society, and MMWR weekly also is available by subscription from the U.S. Government Printing Office at http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/order.html.
