CDC’s office in Nigeria employs 10 U.S. CDC staff and more than 50 local Nigerian staff. We collaborate with dozens of partners in Nigeria, including government and parastatal agencies, private institutions, universities, and non-governmental organizations. We frequently have Jobs and Opportunities available in Nigeria for talented, motivated people who want to join us.

Okey Nwanyanwu, PhD., CDC Nigeria Country Director

Okey Nwanyanwu, PhD., joined CDC-Nigeria as the Country Director in 2010. Prior to joining CDC-Nigeria, he served as CDC Country Director for Guyana and South Africa and Senior Advisor for Global HIV/AIDS. He is an internationally recognized leader in the field of public health, epidemiology, malaria control, and HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment. Dr. Nwanyanwu holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of South Carolina and a Doctor of Public Health Degree from the University of Texas, School of Public Health.
