Perinatal Hepatitis B Prevention Spotlight
In January 2017, HRSA and Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) at the University of New Mexico launched HBV ECHO: Reducing Perinatal Transmission — an innovative, two-year TA and training initiative for clinicians in HRSA-funded health centers aimed at reducing the rate of perinatal transmission of hepatitis B. HRSA-funded health centers serve as health care safety nets and medical homes for America’s most at risk populations.
