About CDC’s Emails and Text Messages (SMS) Subscription Service
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is happy to offer a subscription service, which makes it easier for you to learn more about different topics including MMWR, Flu, HIV, Zika and more at CDC. With a subscription profile, you will receive the updated information on items of interest to you. Message frequency varies and re-occurring messages will be sent from most topics.
For users opting for e-mail newsletters, the service is free.
For users opting for text message updates, message and data rates may apply.
By subscribing to this service you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Most wireless service providers provide text messaging service. While there is no charge to sign up for wireless updates, your wireless service provider may charge per message. Check with your provider for details on additional costs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
CDC uses Adobe Campaign to send e-newsletters, notices and text messages to subscribers. To subscribe to CDC products by email, you must provide an email address and indicate your subscription preferences, including the items you want to receive. To subscribe to CDC text messages, you must provide a mobile phone number and indicate your subscription preferences. Only the CDC managers who send newsletters, notices, or texts via Adobe Campaign and the staff members who monitor the results of email and text initiatives have access to the subscriber lists. CDC and Adobe Campaign never allow access to the subscriber lists to anyone outside of CDC for any purpose.
To opt-out (discontinue receiving text messages from CDC), reply STOP from your mobile device to 43197. We will confirm your opt-out by text and you will not receive any additional text messages from CDC unless you opt-in again. Be aware that this will halt all text. To only unsubscribe from a specific topic, please visit the Manage Your Subscriptions area.
