State Profiles – Diagnosis and Medication Treatment for Children with ADHD

Information was collected using the National Survey of Children’s Health, which relies on parent report of children aged 3–17 years who were diagnosed with ADHD by a healthcare provider. Data are available from the previous version of the National Survey of Children’s Health, collected from 2003 to 2011, and from the current version of the National Survey of Children’s Health, collected from 2016 to 2019 and combined into one estimate. Updated state estimates will be added when available.
