Global Tetanus

Tetanus can only be prevented by vaccination. Worldwide, 75 million women and their babies remain unprotected against maternal and neonatal tetanus. CDC works with partners to support the achievement and maintenance of maternal and neonatal tetanus elimination (MNTE) and prevent tetanus throughout the lifespan.
