Overview
A Table component provides a way to display values from your Source Data in a data table format. It is similar in functionality to the Dashboard level Data Table, but it gives you additional control and configuration options.
Some of the options a component level Data Table has:
- Component level filtering for the user to interact with independently from the Dashboard level filters.
- Add additional columns from the Source Data independent of other dashboard components.
- Column labeling and ordering in the Configuration panel.
- Exclusion of columns to focus on specific data.
- Grouping and Pivot options in the Data Table panel.
Configuring a Table Component
- Add a Filtered Text component to your dashboard by dragging that item onto your grid.
- Assign and configure a Data Set for the component to pull from.
- Enter a Title for the component
- Select a Text Column from the Data panel
- Make any visual selections.
Additional Table Component Settings
Dashboard table components: Use Table components to display data tables in a dashboard. Each dashboard Table component is tied to one dashboard data set and can be moved, configured, or deleted like other dashboard components. Tables respond to dashboard filters that apply to their data set.
Show Dataset Link: Shows or hides a link to the source data set for a dashboard Table component. The link appears only when the table uses a dashboard data set that has a source URL.
- On: Shows a dataset link for the table.
- Off: Hides the dataset link for the table.
