Overview

Filtered Text Component example
A Filtered Text Component displays as a single element on a Dashboard.

A Filtered Text component is a simplified way to display a value from your Data Set. It is similar in functionality to a variable Markup Include, but it does not provide fields for supporting text or Inline HTML Markup. It relies on the Title to give page users context for the value being displayed.

Usage

A Filtered Text component is best used when:

  • A filter selection needs to be displayed, like a map driven dashboard filter
  • A single value from a data set needs to be highlighted

Configuring a Filtered Text component

  1. Add a Filtered Text component to your dashboard by dragging that item onto your grid.
  2. Assign and configure a Data Set for the component to pull from.
  3. Enter a Title for the component
  4. Select a Text Column from the Data panel
  5. Make any visual selections.
