Our world has lost a true ‘health hero’ and a ‘champion for disease prevention’ with the passing of Dr. Davis after his valiant battle against cancer. His long and distinguished career in public health, particularly his work as an anti-tobacco advocate, no doubt resulted in countless lives being saved from the dangers associated with tobacco use. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and the entire medical community as we all grieve the loss of an extraordinary man.
