CDC Newsroom Features
African-American Media Resources
The African-American Media Resources page is designed to provide credible health information and helpful links for African-American media outlets, as well as mainstream media that reach audiences of color. Here you will find up-to-date story ideas with African-American readers in mind; biographies of African-American experts at CDC; and links to other sources of health information. You can also find free, ready-to-print articles on health issues affecting African Americans.
Have You Heard
"Have you Heard?" is a continuously rotating news feature that strives to provide journalists and the public timely, important news information.
Mat releases (also known as matte releases or formatted releases) are formatted, ready-to-print articles that are free to use in any publication. CDC's Formatted Release Library has articles on a variety of important health topics.
Story ideas provide a monthly overview of topics that may be especially pertinent to each month. It includes links for additional information so journalists have the latest research, statistics, and recommendations to support their story.
