Information for General Public Users (Vaccine Recipients) using VAMS

Purpose

VAMS is a web-based application that supports planning and execution for vaccination clinics and medical practices that do not have systems to record vaccinations. Provides an easy way for designated vaccine recipients to schedule vaccination appointments, receive a record of vaccination, and receive appointment reminders, if needed, for the second dose of the specific vaccine they received.

Overview

As a general public user, you can use VAMS to:

  • Schedule vaccine appointments including COVID-19, seasonal influenza, and routine vaccinations for yourself or others at available clinics
  • Pre-register for a vaccine without scheduling an appointment
  • Manage current appointments
  • Update recipient information for yourself or dependents

Guest Registration for Vaccine Recipients in VAMS

Creating a VAMS account is optional for users. Use guest registration to schedule and register for yourself or on behalf of others as a representative/guardian.

If your state uses VAMS, you can access VAMS here. Click Proceed as guest to use guest registration.

If you are having trouble accessing VAMS, please know that not all states use VAMS. Please check to see if your state uses VAMS. If your state DOES NOT use VAMS and you want to know how to schedule a vaccine appointment in your area, please contact your health department.

Resources That Can Help You Use VAMS

You may have questions about specific tasks in VAMS, like how to create an account, how to register and schedule a vaccination appointment, or how to enable multi-factor authentication (MFA) in VAMS. You can also access your vaccination certificate after receiving a COVID-19 vaccine. Please note that vaccine certificates and records of administration are only available for vaccinations that have been scheduled and administered through the VAMS system.
