1GENType clusters have two or more cases with matching spoligotype and 24-locus mycobacterial interspersed repetitive unit-variable number tandem repeat type (MIRU-VNTR) within a county during the specified 3-year time period.
2Alert levels are based on a log-likelihood ratio (LLR), which calculates the geographical concentration of a genotype in a county compared to the rest of the country during a 3-year period.
3There were 3,977 cases in 1,351 clusters: 685 cases were in 79 (5.8%) high alert clusters; 921 cases were in 309 (22.9%) medium alert clusters, and 2,371 cases were in 963 (71.3%) non-alert clusters.
