About

PulseNet Middle East and North Africa (MENA) was established in December 2006 following a consultation meeting held in Cairo, Egypt. The network was established as a molecular surveillance network for foodborne infections to support the Food Safety regional plan and promote technical collaboration between countries. One of the major goals of PulseNet MENA is to enhance communication between laboratories and epidemiologists in the region.

Regional meetings are held regularly with the following participants:
