The Priorities site highlights the health priorities and initiatives being advanced by HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. It brings together topics from across CDC into one place, making it easier for the public, families, clinicians, and partners to find information on the issues the Secretary is championing to make America healthier.

Our purpose

The health challenges facing Americans today, from chronic disease to environmental exposures to preventable injuries, cut across many programs and topic areas. Secretary Kennedy's Priorities site organizes these topics in one centralized hub so visitors can quickly understand what HHS leadership is focused on, why it matters, and what actions families, providers, and communities can take.

This site complements the broader scientific and programmatic content found throughout CDC.gov by spotlighting the Secretary's vision and the initiatives advancing it.

Current priorities

Autism safety

Autistic individuals, especially children, are at increased risk of wandering which can quickly lead to life-threatening situations including drowning — the leading cause of wandering-related death. HHS and partner agencies are working to improve prevention, emergency response, and clinical guidance to keep autistic loved ones safe.

• Autism Safety: Secretary Kennedy and the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) are committed to improving national safety protocols for people with autism.
• Autism Wandering Is an Emergency: Why wandering is a life-threatening emergency, what families and clinicians should do, and how federal partners are coordinating to save lives.
