Law enforcement officers (LEOs) face increased risk of crashes compared with non-transportation industry workers. The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) provides several strategies for consideration to help reduce LEO motor vehicle crashes. These strategies include safe driving measures such as using a seat belt, avoiding unnecessary speed, focusing on driving, and reducing stress.
