Biosolids are the organic residues resulting from the treatment of commercial, industrial, and municipal wastewater (sewage). Class B biosolids have undergone treatment that has reduced but not eliminated pathogens. This guidance is for controlling health risks to workers from Class B biosolids during handling and land application.
