Training and Education

The International Emergency and Refugee Health Branch conducts diverse training activities.

The goal is to help build the capacity of CDC, other U.S. government agencies, United Nations organizations, Nongovernmental organizations and university students in multidisciplinary fields related to complex humanitarian emergencies.

We currently offer four courses:

• 1-Year Scholarship in Global Complex Humanitarian Emergencies (Emory University)
• Health in Complex Emergencies (Emory University)
• Nutrition in Complex Emergencies (Emory University)
• Epidemiologic Methods in Complex Emergencies (Tulane University)
• Field Epidemiology for Mine Action Course(FEMAC)
