The classification additions, deletions, and modifications from U.S. Medical Eligibility Criteria for Contraceptive Use, 2010, are summarized below (Table A1). For conditions for which classification changed for one or more contraceptive methods or the condition description underwent a major modification, the changes or modifications are highlighted below. Conditions that do not appear remain unchanged from the 2010 U.S. MEC.
