HoSt/VDSCP Support from Clinical, Research, and Public Health Communities

To better diagnose, treat, and prevent diseases, medical professionals need improved steroid hormone measurements. Clinical, research, and public health communities all support this well-known fact (1). In 2010, the Endocrine Society, in collaboration with CDC’s Clinical Chemistry Branch, conducted a conference to develop recommendations for improving steroid hormone tests (2).
