What to know
CDC, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and public health officials in several jurisdictions investigated a multistate hepatitis A outbreak potentially linked to imported frozen clams. The outbreak investigation is closed. During July 2025 – October 2026, a foodborne hepatitis A outbreak impacted people in four states: Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, and Pennsylvania.
