Before STOP, Dr. Zomahoun (STOP 40) worked in Cameroon (UNFPA, GIZ) and South Sudan (The Carter Center). After his STOP assignment Dr. Zomahoun worked in Guinea (WHO) and is currently employed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.

“STOP has been a turning point in my professional experience. It gave me the opportunity to work on a global response for a major outbreak (Ebola) while also participating in the polio eradication initiative. I played a key role in the outbreak response, which made me gain tremendous international experience. Through networking and hard work during the STOP assignment, I am currently working for the CDC Atlanta as an Epidemiologist for the Polio Eradication Branch. Simply said, I am where I am today mainly thanks to the STOP assignment.
