This panel consists of 10 mock human specimens requiring identification of types A and B, and characterization of subtype and/or genotype to evaluate the performance of the CDC Human Influenza Virus Real-Time RT-PCR Panels for Influenza A/B typing (FluRUO-01) Influenza A subtyping (FluRUO-09), Influenza B Lineage Genotyping (FluRUO-05 & FluRUO-11), Influenza A/H7 (Eurasian Lineage) subtyping (FluRUO-07) and Influenza A/H5 subtyping (FluRUO-08). The purpose of this exercise is to assist CDC and PAHO/ERMO in understanding the performance of the CDC Flu rRT-PCR Panel reagents internationally, and to identify any PCR testing issues that can be addressed in future trainings and workshops. Although participation in this exercise is encouraged, it is strictly voluntary.
