Where people got sick
This map shows where at least 6,358 people in 15 states in this multistate Cyclospora outbreak reported getting sick. The numbers on this map show the locations where people reported exposure to Taco Bell or recalled Taylor Farms de Mexico lettuce, including people who traveled to these states but reside in different states.
This outbreak may not be limited to the states with known illnesses, and the true number of sick people is likely much higher than the number reported. This is because many people recover without medical care and are not tested for Cyclospora.
CDC is also investigating other outbreaks and illnesses of cyclosporiasis nationally from other sources that are unrelated to this outbreak.
