Summary

This study explores the role of certain factors (education, smoking, physical activity, and occupational exposure to harsh chemicals or radiation) in the development of ALS. Pesticide and fertilizer exposure was significantly associated with ALS. These finding support the need to continue investigating environmental exposures and their relationship to ALS.
