Application Process
The application cycle for this year has closed and the IETA program will begin accepting applications in September 1, 2008, at which time the Application Form will be available on this web page. The deadline for application submission will be close of business Friday, October 17, 2008.
A complete application package will include 1 original and 2 copies of the following:
- Printable PDF Application Form (link is only active during open season)
- Complete application form with first-level and second-level supervisor signatures.
- Brief responses (2 pages maximum) to 6 questions provided in application.
- Current C.V.
- Recent full-year performance appraisal rating or COER rating (cover sheet only with rating official's signature.)
Incomplete application packages will not be reviewed. Faxed or electronic copies will not be accepted. Instead, application packages should be mailed to:

All completed applications will be reviewed and rated, and the top qualified applicants will be invited to interview by telephone in late November. Applicants accepted for the eleventh IETA Cohort will be notified in early December and the first workshop will be held in January 2009.
