  • Zoonoses and One Health Updates (ZOHU) Calls are monthly webinars that provide timely education on zoonotic and infectious diseases and other One Health topics.
  • ZOHU Calls offer free Continuing Education for a variety of professionals.
  • Each call takes place on the first Wednesday of each month 2-3pm ET. There are no ZOHU webinars in January and July.

About the series

ZOHU Calls are one-hour monthly webinars that provide timely education on zoonotic infectious diseases and One Health topics. This unique webinar provides participants opportunities to learn from a broad range of subject matter experts representing multiple sectors, and build partnerships across human, animal, plant, environment health disciplines.

Free Continuing Education is available for live calls and recordings.

Support/funding for ZOHU Call is from CDC's One Health Office.

Objectives and topics

The goal of the ZOHU Call series is to increase participants' knowledge and competencies on

  • Zoonotic diseases and One Health issues;
  • Their effects on human, animal, and environmental health; and
  • Strategies for preventing, detecting, and responding to zoonotic disease threats.

Past topics include emerging zoonotic and infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, food safety, vector-borne diseases, and recent outbreaks.

Target audience

ZOHU Call is open to anyone, but specifically targets academics, students, educators, and professionals in the human health, animal health, and environmental health fields.

Course credit

Free CE is available for up to two years after the live date of each ZOHU Call.
