TeenVaxView for Health Care Professionals

Health care professionals play an integral role in preventing serious diseases through vaccination. You can reduce illness among preteens and teens by recommending appropriate vaccinations at every health visit, taking the time to answer parent’s questions, implementing standing ordersExternal, and using reminder/recall systems.

Your work ensures high vaccination coverage in local schools and helps keep children safe and healthy. Learn how you can protect more preteens and teens in your area from HPV.

Healthcare professionals may also be asked to help NIS-Teen provide accurate information about adolescent vaccinations. It is very important to continue to fill out the Teen Immunization History Questionnaire (IHQ) for CDC to track accurate vaccination coverage at national, state, and selected local levels. The survey could not be completed without your dedicated support. Find the IHQ and other materials on the National Immunization Survey site.
