ChildVaxView Data Source

Child vaccination coverage data are collected through the National Immunization Survey (NIS). The NIS provides a “report card” to let us know how well we are doing in protecting our nation’s children against vaccine-preventable diseases. The NIS is a random-digit-dialed survey of parents or guardians of children 19–35 months old and, in 2015, included data for more than 15,000 children. The telephone survey is followed by a questionnaire mailed to vaccination providers to obtain the children’s vaccination history.
